From mid 2015, the EB-5 visa numbers for investors born in China (regardless of the country’s passport held by the investors) have been backlogged. As a result, Chinese investors will need to wait many years before they can apply for a conditional Green Card. In early 2018, investors from Vietnam also face the same backlog issues, although at a much smaller scale compared to China. The wait time is dependent on a number of factors and assumptions so please consult with your immigration attorney.
